Presidents of Benha National and Public Universities Welcomed Delegation from Wuhan University of Technology, China
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, received a high-level delegation from Wuhan University of Technology, China, led by Prof. Xin Sijin, President of the Chinese university. The meeting aimed to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The reception was attended by Prof. Jehan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President of Benha National University for International Relations; deans of the Faculties of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Engineering at Shubra, and Acting Dean of Benha Engineering Faculty for Education and Student Affairs; along with the Executive Director of the International Relations Office, Director of the Obour Campus, and the University’s Executive Director of Information.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy praised the strong strategic relations between Egypt and China, which serve as a foundation for academic collaboration. He emphasized that the bilateral partnership reflects a model of mutual understanding and joint action across various fields, particularly in higher education and scientific research.
Prof. El-Gizawy highlighted that the visit culminates a 10-year scientific partnership between the universities, marked by faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects in engineering and IT, and participation in conferences and seminars that have significantly enhanced international cooperation.
He further noted discussions on expanding collaboration through the "Silk Road Engineering Universities Alliance", fostering technical and scientific cooperation, promoting student exchange programs, and supporting joint research initiatives. Plans were also explored to establish a joint research institute at Benha University to drive innovation and scientific integration.
Prof. Tamer Samir announced the signing of a cooperation agreement between Wuhan University of Technology and Benha National University, aimed at expanding future partnerships in education, scientific research, and cultural exchange. He stressed that this aligns with Benha National University’s vision of global engagement and collaboration with prestigious international institutions.
Prof. Xin Sijin affirmed the long-standing scientific and student exchange ties between the universities, praising Benha University’s comprehensive academic influence in Egypt. He emphasized discussions on enhancing student training opportunities at Wuhan University of Technology, leveraging both institutions’ research capabilities.
The visit concluded with a presentation showcasing the scientific, research, and technological advancements of Benha National University, Benha Public University, and Wuhan University of Technology, reinforcing their commitment to shared innovation and global impact.
